Forever Forest
SOS and OIC’s newest restoration site is an 890-acre piece of land which used to be an oil palm plantation. Until recently, it was referred to by its old name, PT Mutiara. SOS asked their supporters to help give it a new name to reflect the amazing community effort that went into raising the funds to buy the land.
SOS are delighted to announce that the winning name was Selamanya Hutan (Forever Forest). Some volunteers from Lush Ltd have been helping at the site and made this video to reveal the new name and a beautiful hand-made sign for the site.
From the land purchase to the choice of name and the ongoing support for the restoration of the site, Selamanya Hutan has been a team effort for which SOS and OIC are truly grateful.
