More Trees Please
19th August is International Orangutan Day, and this year Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) will be doing something really big to celebrate.
Thanks to generous support from Ocean Outdoor Media, SOS are holding a takeover of 45 different advertising billboards in eight cities around the UK on 19th August 2019, helping them to reach huge new audiences with their orangutan conservation message. With beautiful animated images by Nils Camin, the billboards should reach around 1.5 million people, raising awareness of the impact of deforestation on Sumatran orangutans.
If you live in or near London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paisley, Newcastle or Liverpool, you can help spread the message even further! By taking a photo of yourself with your nearest billboard and posting it on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #moretreesplease, you can help to get everyone talking about the SOS mission to plant more trees and give Sumatran orangutans a safe future in the wild. If you can’t get to one of the billboards, you can still help by looking out for other people’s posts and sharing or re-tweeting them.
