22nd April is one of the most important days for the conservation world, as it is the international earth day. A perfect reminder for human in the earth to respect the planet we live on. The place that provides all of the human needs in life.

OIC also celebrated the day by inviting 25 young men from a social community in Medan called KOPHI to learn and took parts with our restoration programme. Choosing Cinta Raja Restoration as the location, we hosted KOPHI for two days from 21st – 22nd April 2018. Indeed such a short time to learn about restoration programme, however, we tried our best to deliver the values in the short period of time.

On this delighted occasion, KOPHI was taught the restoration theory from the scratch. Starting from the stages of restoration to the final stages in the future. The most important part, we took them to plant 100 trees as their contribution restoring the damaged forest. “I learned so much from this visit. Witnessing how much OIC gives the contribution to this earth is such a moving idea for me.” Satria, one of the participant said.

Sharing the knowledge is one of the most important parts of the restoration programme as well. To spread the message of the positive vibes that together, we can create significant changes to the better world. Keep supporting us!
